October 30, 2020 – ONE Championship: Inside the Matrix finally arrives and everyone was all eyes on the Lightweight Bout of Team Lakay Eduard “The Landslide” Folayang against Antonio “The Spartan” Caruso.
In the face off, it was obvious how taller Caruso was, but both of them were hungry to win in this fight, both desperate to get the One Championship medal.
In the first round, it was all about testing of waters and Caruso wanting to get his ground game against Folayang, pressuring him, but Folayang worked his way up to get back on the ground.
The second to third round was Caruso and Folayang exchanging blows and Caruso was trying to work his grappling exchange. Folayang played his distances and exchanged strikes with Caruso until the bell ends the fight.
The win goes to Caruso under unanimous decision, but Team Lakay thinks of this as a learning factor to rise up again any time soon.
