GRAPPLER'S CUP
With our continued vision to maintain our good standing in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in the Philippines and Asia, we aim to keep on developing the skills of our local athletes in the field of grappling or the athletes’ ground game.
For this reason, we continue to organize our series of Team Lakay Grappler’s Cups as venue for our local athletes as well as our visiting competitors from around the Philippines to test their skills and compete against each other before proceeding to higher level of competitions.
TEAM LAKAY CHAMPIONSHIP
As we aim to continue reaching our visions, Team Lakay has established TEAM LAKAY CHAMPIONSHIP (TLC).
This event will feature local fighters from La Trinidad, Benguet; Baguio City; La Union; Mountain Province and other parts of the Cordillera Administrative Region and warriors from as far as Manila.
Team Lakay Championship objectives:
- To provide the athletes more exposure and experience in competing with other opponents locally to serve as grassroots development for the young athletes.
- To discover, develop and produce more local fighters and eventually select the best fighters to represent us in bigger MMA competitions in the regional, national and even in the international arena, therefore, producing more world-class Professional MMA athletes.
- To provide opportunity for the fighters to showcase their skills.
- To promote sportsmanship and discipline among the competitors.
- To help our Government and other concerned agencies in the development of disciplined and vice-free community.
- To raise awareness on the positive effects of sports especially amongst the youth.
- To promote MMA and combat sports in our local area.
- To provide quality entertainment for the people in the local area.
