Expect fireworks inside the ring when Team Lakay’s “Benguet Explosion Martial Arts Tournament” gets going December 9.
Jean Claude Saclag, a multi-gold medalist in the Southeast Asian Games, will headline the event in a high-stake bantamweight fight against Ronald Regalado while ONE Warrior Series – Philippines champion Adonis Sevilleno will face Reden Manguiat.
“This is an important figth to me and maybe this will be a stepping stone hopefully sa mma sa international stage,” said Saclag said, adding he is still a member of the Philippine kickboxing team.
The Saclag – Regalado match – up, according to match maker and former world champion Geje Eustaquio. “Sana mabigyan ko ng magandang laban si Jean Claude,” said Regalado.
Nahuel Gandolfi meanwhile takes on Rone Deliu as Joris Jonker and Mark Obero will engage in a thrilling catchweight bout as Urbano Jr Dela Peña face off against Neptali Ticar of the event presented by Cong. Eric Go Yap and the Province of Benguet at the Benguet Sports Complex in La Trinidad, Benguet.
For the undercard matches, the players are John Ira Barrinetos versus Duane Pascua, Ezra Saclag against Wilmer Salpad, Firoz Khan against Charlie Rondina, and a featherweight battle between Jed Sayud and Daryle Wadasen.
Adding a kickboxing flair to the night, Gamebar Angcaway will face Christian Gutierrez, Jyrisce Gean Legaspi will take on Judah Paul Saingan and lady fighters Jerlyn Kingad and Jhen Buzon will also be part of the fight card.
Included in the fight card are amatuer bouts of Fritz Vicente against Onofre Ducusin and Elvester Gaspar taking on Reuben Sawang.
