Team Lakay’s Jean Claude Saclag will be up for another test when he returns to ONE Friday Fights 102 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Saclag is eyeing for his third win in the weekly tournament as he takes on a dangerous Shazada Ataev in a flyweight MMA contest that will also feature interesting match – ups in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and also MMA.
The undefeated former Southeast Asian multi – gold medalist will be facing a taller Ataev who owns a perfect record of 5 wins that include three submissions and two technical knock – outs. But despite giving – up at least three inches in height, Coach Mark Sangiao believes his fighter can cope up with the disadvantage and made sure that they have covered all bases during their training.

“It was a fruitful training. Jean Claude was able to craft a game plan to counter the height disadvantage,” said Sangiao.
Saclag is coming in hot with his back – to – back victories in the promotion, earning a first round TKO against Lee Jun Young in his debut September 6, 2024 then followed it up with another impressive first round stoppage of Indonesia’s Fajar in January this year.
Prior to seeing action in MMA, Saclag was already a regular fixture in combative sports, having won three gold medals in kickboxing during the 2019, 2021, and 2023 edition of the SEAG. The 30 – year – old multi – disciplined martial artists also won a gold during the Sanda World Cup in 2014, a silver in the 2014 edition of the Asian Games, and a bronze medal during the Wushu World Championships in 2013.
In the main event, surging striker Rambong Sor Therapat will collide with his Thai compatriot Pompet Panthonggym in a 130-pound Muay Thai contest that promises action for as long as it lasts.
The heavy-handed Rambong is entering the bout riding an incredible seven-fight winning streak at ONE Friday Fights and hopes to punch his ticket to ONE’s global roster with a victory over his battle-tested opponent.

In flyweight Muay Thai action, Road to ONE: Thailand winner Dedduanglek Wankhongohm MBK will square off with Pettonglor Sitluangpeenumfon. Teenage prodigy Rudy Da Silva returns to meet Kenan Bayramov in an explosive 160-pound Muay Thai scrap.
