Another busy weekend for Team Lakay with two of its fighters eyeing to bring home wins this weekend.
Already in Thailand, Carlo Von Bumina-ang is hoping to follow up on his recent win in ONE Championship as he takes on Argentinian Mauro Mastromarini this Saturday, April 5, 2025 (PH Time) in ONE Fight Night 30 at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Bumina-ang, who has been making waves in the global MMA scene, is excited about the opportunity to face the veteran Mastromarini, who has a wealth of experience under his belt.
Mastromarini, known for his grit and resilience, is a seasoned competitor with a strong track record across multiple promotions.
However, Bumina-ang is determined to showcase the growth and improvement he’s made since his debut in the promotion where he yielded to Enkh – Orgil Baatarkhuu but later on bounced back with a first round TKO of Song Min Jong in February.
“Hopefully he can sustain his eagerness to win,” said coach Mark Sangiao
The fight is expected to be a clash of styles, with Bumina-Ang’s dynamic striking and athleticism going head-to-head with Mastromarini’s seasoned grappling and tactical approach as fans can expect a high-intensity bout that could potentially propel Bumina-ang further into the title conversation in ONE Championship’s competitive division.
Sangiao said whether on the ground or in the stand – up, Bumina-ang has a lot of surprise up his sleeve against Mastromarini, who has faced some of the best in the sport and is known for his ability to handle pressure and his tactical game plan in the cage.
Nahuel Gandolfi meanwhile left for Japan Thursday morning where he is penciled for the April 6 event of Gladiator 30 in Osaka.
The Argentinian, now based in La Trinidad will take on Mayo Komori of Japan, eyeing his for 14th career win.
