The name Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon is something you have surely heard if you’re either an MMA fan or an athlete yourself. He cemented his name in the field of mixed martial arts and has carved his achievements throughout his matches.
Kevin is the former One Championship Bantamweight Champion and the former Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) Flyweight Champion. Aside from that, he has competed in many other Asian-based MMA promotions.
ORIGINS
Kevin said that he loves to watch martial arts movies when he was young. He said, in particular, he used to watch Bruce Lee’s movies. He said that if there was a martial arts gym he could join in, he would not hesitate to go. It was not until when he was in college (University of the Cordilleras) that he met Coach Mark “The Machine” Sangiao that he began career.
“THE SILENCER” Monicker / Ring Name
He got his monicker “The Silencer” after his first MMA fight. Since he was the underdog in that fight, after winning, the audience became silent, thus, his name “The Silencer”.
ONE CHAMPIONSHIP
He made his debut in the match against Masakazu Imanari at ONE CHAMPIONSHIP: War of Lions, March 2012. During his entrance at the ONE Bantamweight Grand Prix Tournament, he won against Yusup Saadulaev, and Thanh Vu of Australia.

Kevin is known for his tremendous performances in the cage and his powerful spinning back kick, which he used in many of his fights, where it became the key to his victories.
